Our Lead Pastor
Dr. Troy H. Jones is the lead pastor of New Life Church. He and his wife of 31 years, Jana, have two daughters and three grandchildren.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Troy grew up in the Seattle area and strongly believes God created the beauty of Seattle on the eighth day. Every Friday he unplugs, spends the day with his wife, enjoys a Skinny Latte at Starbucks, and then has a 31-year tradition called “Date Night.” He considers dating his wife as the secret to enjoying life, marriage, and even his job.
In 2004, Troy became the pastor of New Life Church. He has effectively led New Life in significant paradigm shifts, building a new building, and having a strong influence in the community and world—all while respecting and honoring the church’s legacy.
Over the past twenty years, Troy has spoken for corporations, universities, and non-profits around the world. His straightforward approach, combined with a warm style and intensely practical application, makes his leadership lectures and teaching uniquely engaging and impactful. The author of three books on leadership, Troy has unique expertise in the areas of personal growth, developing leaders, recruiting and retaining volunteers, creating lasting change, and keeping the fire alive in marriage.
In May of 2015, Troy launched Recalibrate as a way to help churches—and their pastors—restore their passion, bring new momentum and energize their ministries by rediscovering the vision in their hearts.
