Why do we give?
We believe the top competitor for our devotion to Jesus is our money. Giving helps us show Him that a relationship with Him is more important than our stuff.
We believe you can’t out give God. Trusting Him with your tithes and offerings is shows that you trust Him with everything—and He will take care of the rest.
We think Christ followers should be the most generous people on the planet. By supporting worthy causes in our community and around the world, the local church has the potential to be the greatest force for change around the world.
How do we give?
What is Tithing?
Tithe, which is an old word meaning “1/10th,” is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to God through the local church. This idea of giving the first 10% is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we give our tithe, we express worship in a real and tangible way by showing God that He is first in our lives.
Tithing is our way of giving God our thanks for His blessings, demonstrating our trust in His ability to provide and care for us, while allowing us to be part of the most important thing—what Jesus Himself said was what we all should be doing: spreading the Good News around the world.
New Life’s Financial Accountability
We set accountability guardrails in place to ensure our financial practices are 100% above reproach.
– Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability
– Annual External Audit – (Financial Statements available upon request at the church office)
– Annual Report. Every number represents a name and every name represents a story that matters to God. Because of this, we celebrate numbers at New Life!
